Polish BWR-1D vehicles are modified Soviet BRM-1K reconnaissance vehicles developed in the early 1970s. These amphibious vehicles are designed to conduct engineering, chemical, biological and radiological reconnaissance on the battlefield. It is equipped with a 73 mm 2A28 cannon and machine gun. Additionally, Poland operates BWR-1S purchased from Czechoslovakia on the basis of BMP-1.
