A video with an unusual prototype of the third generation iPod was released on the Apple Demo YouTube channel.

The player has three games Stacker, Block0 and Klondike. All games were never available on production versions of the iPod.

Stacker is a Tetris clone. To move parts, use the wheel, and the central button lowers the figure down.

Former VP of iPod development Tony Fadell in 2022 did not directly answer the question of why these games never came out. “Because we added games with later software releases,” he added. Indeed, a few years after the iPod was released, the company announced official Tetris.

The back of the iPod says DVT. This means that he was in the middle stage of development.

The third generation of iPod came out at the end of 2003. He offers a forecast for 2004. [The Verge]
