The Ministry of Economic Development plans to conduct an experiment on monitoring pregnant women using a cardiotocograph. This device will monitor the fetal heartbeat and uterine tone to monitor its condition. The experiment will be carried out in various regions over two years with the participation of several thousand women.
If the doctor considers it necessary to monitor the condition of the fetus, participants in the experiment will be given a cardiotocograph. This device will help measure the fetal heart rate and determine the need for additional medical intervention. Data from the cardiotocograph will be transferred to the smartphone via a mobile application, so doctors can analyze the data and adjust treatment if necessary.
This experiment is a continuation of an initiative to remotely monitor the health of patients with chronic diseases. The aim of the project is to prevent pregnancy complications and reduce maternal deaths. United Instrument-Making Corporation, Russia’s leading instrument-making company, supports this experiment and purchases the necessary equipment.
