Russia’s first state esports center for children and youth is in St. It opened in St. Petersburg. The center, created from scratch, is non-profit and municipally owned and allows young athletes to train here for free. The project was supported by the city administration, and funds were allocated for its creation for major repairs and equipment.
The center is open to all children over the age of ten, including children from large and low-income families and orphans. There is a main hall with 30 gaming chairs, four training rooms, rooms for team competitions, an active recreation area and a special “broadcast room” for broadcasting. All rooms are equipped with professional computers and modern game consoles, and the building is adapted for people with reduced mobility.
It is planned to expand the center in the future: an e-sports area for children under 18, a sports club for experienced e-athletes and a free playground for everyone will be created. So the center, St. It will become a real center for the development of e-sports among young people in St. Petersburg.
