The figure for issuance of green cards by Russians in 2023 was a record and the highest since 2016, when Russian citizens received 9.7 thousand green cards.
In addition to Russians, green cards were often issued to Mexicans (179.8 thousand), Indians (76 thousand), Cubans (74 thousand) and Chinese (58.8 thousand).
During the reporting year, 10.1 thousand Russians received American citizenship. This is a high figure: 3% less than in 2022, which was a record year. In 2022, 10.4 thousand Russians received American citizenship.
