Former Magic Leap employees created their own startup and presented an unusual laptop, Spacetop G1.

The device consists of a main body with a keyboard and a stand for the included augmented reality glasses. There is no display here, the image is entirely made on AR glasses.

The laptop runs SpaceOS, a spatial wireless system. It focuses on web tasks that provide content without the need for application development.

The glasses weigh 85 grams. For comparison, the Vision Pro weighs between 600 and 650 grams. They are equipped with two OLED panels with a resolution of 1920×1080 and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and there is support for lenses.

The laptop is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon QCS8550 processor, 128 GB of internal memory, 16 GB of RAM. There are two USB-C ports on the side, you can connect an external display.

The Spacetop G1 will retail for $1,900, but the pre-order price is $1,700. The first laptops will be delivered in October 2024.
