The virtual world, called “Coworker Game,” will open on June 24 and will allow players to feel like IKEA employees.

Users will be able to explore virtual showrooms, work at the famous Swedish grocery store and bistro, and assist customers.

The peculiarity of the project is that IKEA offers a limited number of paid virtual jobs.

Applications for these positions are accepted between June 3 and June 16. Successful candidates will be able to complete virtual interviews and receive payment at the rate of an IKEA employee for their work in the game.

The developers promise that the experience of working in a virtual store will be as close as possible to real work at IKEA. Players will be able to change roles and departments, showcase their skills and develop their careers.
