The fast food restaurant chain “Tasty – period” will add dishes with halal meat to the menu. Previously the company had announced plans to start work in the North Caucasus republics. As noted by the general director of the network, Oleg Paroev, consumers in these regions take halal requirements seriously.

Earlier it became known that the company had signed an agreement with Kavkaz and Tochka LLC, which will develop a restaurant franchise business in the North Caucasus republics.

In the next five years, it is planned to create up to 15 companies of this type, which will employ more than 750 people. The opening of the first restaurant is expected in 2025.

Paroev noted that the population of the territories where the network will begin operating demands halal requirements, so it is important for the company to create a menu for Muslims.

Paroev also said there are no plans to add alcoholic beverages to the chain’s menu.

  • McDonald’s stopped serving customers in Russia in March 2022. The Russian business was later bought by one of the franchisees, Alexander Govor, who on June 12 launched the chain under the new brand “Tasty – period”. Since then, the chain has been introducing new menu items, expanding its geographic presence, relaunching the McCafé format, delivery and more.
  • At the end of 2023, the company increased its revenue by 2.1 times to 155.7 billion rubles. The network’s net profit amounted to 14.17 billion rubles against a net loss of 11.6 billion rubles in 2022.
