Previously, a citizen contacted the FAS with a complaint about an advertisement from the Work 5 organization: this company offered writing services for essays, term papers and dissertations. The advertisement was distributed on the Yandex search engine.
“The law prohibits placing advertisements for work preparation services for passing state scientific certification or exams in educational institutions,” the antimonopoly service recalled.
FAS opened a case in this case in February 2024. It was reported that if a violation is established, both companies will be held administratively responsible.
Now the department has recognized the advertising as inappropriate and fined Yandex LLC in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The exact amount of the fine is not specified. RB.RU sent a request to the FAS.
