The share of people dissatisfied with the quality of products of new brands in the Russian Federation over the past six months has increased from 44% to 60%. This is stated in the results of the B1 study (formerly the E&Y department in the Russian Federation), Kommersant reported.

According to the study, Russian consumers have adapted to the departure of many foreign brands from the Russian Federation, but are not satisfied with the quality of products produced to replace them.

The number of people who are willing to pay more for goods they know decreased from 55% to 50% in six months. Quality was mentioned as the main reason for possible overpayment by 54% (36% in 2023).

Additionally, the proportion of consumers who regularly purchase private label (private label) products fell from 54% to 48%. One in three consumers considers that the quality of private label products is low, according to the study.

B1 conducted a study based on data from a survey conducted in May 2024 among one thousand respondents.
