While a police officer was conducting traffic control after a major accident, a police car was blocking the road marked with road lights and signal lights. A Tesla electric car running on autopilot crashed into a car traveling at full speed. During the interrogation, the driver admitted that he was not looking at the road at that moment, but was looking at his smartphone.

At the moment of collision, the police managed to react and jumped out of the vehicle. Thanks to his reaction, the Tesla driver did not become a murderer.

Commenting on the incident, company officials said that they changed the name of the “Autopilot” function to “Full autopilot (under supervision)”. This means that the driver cannot rely entirely on technology and must keep his eyes on the road and monitor his surroundings.
