The VkusVill chain has removed tuna salad from its catalog amid a botulism outbreak in Moscow. The capital’s Investigative Commission opened a criminal case after the victims were hospitalized.

The VkusVilla press service informed RIA that it had withdrawn tuna salad, which was potentially at risk, from sale. At the same time, the retailer stressed that he has not received any complaints from customers about poisoning.
The company clarified that Lobio salad from the manufacturer LocalKitchen is not in the VkusVilla assortment.
“There is no evidence that a product of inadequate quality could have been purchased in our network,” says the VkusVilla press service. The network added that they are monitoring the situation and are in contact with Rospotrebnadzor.
Earlier today, food delivery network “Kitchen on the District” announced the suspension of its operations due to a botulism outbreak in Moscow. The Investigative Commission opened a criminal case and 10 people were officially recognized as victims.
