Revenue from the Yandex Plus subscription in the amount of 100 billion rubles will be reinvested in 2024-2025 in the purchase of rights to films, television series, sports broadcasts, as well as in the production of its own projects, writes Kommersant.

By the beginning of 2024, the number of subscribers to the service has increased almost 1.5 times, and income from its work in two years could reach 100 billion rubles, according to experts.
“This amount is 2.5 times higher than the entire revenue from theatrical distribution in Russia. Or the income of all paid channels in the country,” said a representative of the platform.
Experts doubt that growth rates will be maintained given the general slowdown in the dynamics of subscription services in Russia. They also recalled the activity of competitors, mainly represented by MTS.
