“District Kitchen” received a Declaration of Conformity from the EAEU two weeks before the botulism outbreak

Rospotrebnadzor canceled the declaration of “Local Cuisine” for compliance with EAEU requirements for poultry dishes after mass poisonings in Moscow with bean salad.

The statement was issued on May 30, 2024 by the certified testing center Sercons ECO LLC. According to the document reviewed by RB.RU, in Ilovaiskaya, 20 in Moscow penne with chicken and mushrooms, with smoked chicken and mushrooms, French chicken with penne and chicken in mushroom sauce with buckwheat were produced, in the same place where they are made salads with botulism. Rospotrebnadzor employees demanded from LocalKitchen a declaration of conformity for its products, accompanied by laboratory testing protocols, a production control program and documents ensuring its implementation. Rospotrebnadzor concluded that the presence of local cuisine products in circulation can be dangerous and cause acute infectious diseases due to current cases of botulism.

“The declaration of conformity is necessary for the sale of products; it gives the manufacturer the right to legally distribute the product within Russia and the countries of the Customs Union, including the sale of the product in the markets,” the lawyer said.
