The project involves the use of unmanned ships for cargo transportation in this region, which extends from the port of Astrakhan to Anzali, Iran, over the Caspian Sea. The developers aim to create an international regulatory framework to regulate autonomous surface ships at sea.

Andrey Rodionov, CEO of Sitronics KT, emphasized that the implementation of the project can contribute to the creation of an international code for autonomous transport technology and standardization of requirements.

He also noted the need to equip ships and ports with digital systems to support unmanned ships and manage logistics processes. Lack of regulatory regulation is a major obstacle to the global development of autonomous shipping.
