This Tuesday (28), the Ministry of Regional Development (MDR) announced its closure Partnered with WhatsApp and Robbu to deliver disaster alerts via messaging app. Thus, the new service will send messages about disasters to residents in Brazil, warning of floods, fires, among other environmental problems.

You must be registered to access the service. and soon a trick will be available to interact with the alerting chatbot. In this way, the user address get alerts about that areaIn addition to tips, the best evacuation routes in case of disaster, among other information.

Disaster alert coming soon

This Wednesday (29) a Technical Cooperation Agreement was signed by the Minister of Regional Development Daniel Ferreira during a live broadcast on the ministry’s YouTube channel. Currently it is already possible to receive alerts via SMS, Telegram, TV and Google.

Also in attendance at the ceremony were WhatsApp Brazil’s director of public policy Dario Durigan, Robbu’s commercial director Francisco Dabus, and the ministry’s secretary of national protection and civil defense, Colonel Alexandre Lucas.

Brazilian company Robbu will be responsible for creating a chatbot for the alert service, which will be sent by states and municipalities, including information on the platform. According to the information received from the Ministry of Regional Development, the service should start operating normally within 60 days.
