The Computing Technology consortium, which includes many Russian electronics manufacturers such as Aquarius, Yadro and Depo, turned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for parallel imports of HP and Fujitsu products. The corresponding letter was sent on June 25.

We are talking only about those positions for which there are already Russian analogues. No matter what the position is, it does not improve.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed receipt of the letter and stated that “it will only be considered in the prescribed manner.” The ministry representative also added that the department regularly collects proposals from industry associations for adjusting parallel imports.

If the Ministry of Industry and Trade approves the companies’ proposals, then large chain retailers will not be able to import HP and Fujitsu equipment through parallel imports. [Ведомости]
