Meta* is testing AI avatars on Instagram*. For now, they will appear primarily in posts and will be indicated by the AI tag. They were created by users of the new Meta AI studio, writes The Verge.

The feature will first be available to a limited number of users in the US. As part of the tests, subscribers will be able to communicate with their famous idols through their AI avatars, which are essentially chatbots.
In the future, the company plans to provide the opportunity for all users and organizations to create their own chatbots on the platform to interact with the audience.
*Meta and its Facebook and Instagram members are recognized as extremist organizations whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation.
