Kazakhstan has allowed trading of the Toncoin cryptocurrency. This can be done on platforms authorized by the regulator. The approval of Toncoin occurred during Pavel Durov’s visit to Kazakhstan: he came to get to know the country and discuss possible joint projects.

The AIFC Committee for the Regulation of Financial Services of Kazakhstan (AFSA) approved Toncoin for trading on platforms authorized by the regulator. This was reported by the AFSA press service.
Toncoin complies with regulatory standards, the regulator noted.
“The inclusion of Toncoin in the AIFC regulated environment is expected to attract a new wave of institutional and retail investors seeking safe and transparent trading options,” AFSA noted.
On June 27, Pavel Durov arrived in Kazakhstan to see the country and discuss possible joint projects. Previously, the country’s authorities expressed the hope that after the visit of the founder of Telegram it would be possible to agree on joint projects.
