The most active gamers are Zoomers (59%) and younger millennials (41%), while this figure drops to 24% among older millennials. Gaming is more frequently shown by respondents who are financially well-off (27%) or average (22%).

The popularity of video games largely depends on the place of residence: 24-29% of residents play in cities and only 11% in rural areas. The preferred platforms for gaming are personal computers (74%) and smartphones (55%), as well as PlayStation (22%) and Xbox consoles (11%).

Over the past few years, 29% of Russians have played domestic video games, and 91% of them left a positive impression. However, e-sports evokes mixed feelings: 46% of respondents have a negative attitude towards e-sports.
