Users who set up their devices from scratch have found that the “installer” skips fingerprint sign-in, a feature that’s typically included during initial setup along with account sign-in and network setup. Willa Sattelberg of Android Police and SlashGear of Android Central confirmed that they’ve experienced this issue firsthand.

While users can manually add fingerprints from the Settings menu after installation, the lack of a prompt during the initial setup made them “concerned.”

Some tech watchers and users have suggested that this glitch could be related to recent software updates.

Samsung has not made an official statement on this matter (at the time of writing).
