Yandex explained how and why Russians use neural networks
Thirty-three percent of Russians use neural networks to generate texts and 28% to create images, according to data from Yandex’s Neurostat service.
One of the main topics of using text neural networks (YandexGPT) is writing text from scratch. These include fairy tales, jokes, posts on social networks and congratulations, the Yandex press service reported. Among entertaining texts, the most popular for neural network tasks are poems, stories, rhymes and game scripts.
Russians mainly use graphic neural networks (YandexART) to create logos, advertising posters, diagrams and packaging designs. In addition, a neural network is used to create a tattoo design – most often it is an image with a dragon, a girl and a snake.
According to Neurostat data from June 2024, 63% of Russians are familiar with text neural networks and 33% use them. 77% of respondents are familiar with graphical neural networks that generate images, and 28% use them.
