Microsoft has launched a Designer application to generate images based on text descriptions, according to a statement from the company.

In Designer you can create postcards, avatars, collages and other images. The app is free, the web version supports over 80 languages. Designer is integrated into Microsoft Photos and can be used within the app.

In the app you can also edit the style of the photo, and it will soon be possible to change the background of the image.

Designer is available for Windows users and owners of devices running iOS and Android operating systems.
