According to the press service of NUST MISIS, the innovation improves the quality of the material and expands the capabilities of producing complex-shaped products with high strength, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. The new method combines chemical vapor deposition and selective laser melting, solving the problems of porosity and voids in materials encountered in traditional technologies.

Scientists have determined the optimal conditions (450°C and 0.13 atmospheres) under which tungsten metal reaches its maximum bending strength, the press service noted.
