Mayak has a landscaped promenade, beach areas facing the sea, sun loungers and parasols, and a yoga area. The beach is equipped with aerators and drinking fountains. The infrastructure is complemented by showers and changing rooms, as well as storage rooms. For visitors with children, there is a mother-and-child room and playgrounds.

“The beach classification helps entrepreneurs maintain the quality level of services provided and comply with modern service standards. The assigned category helps the consumer to immediately understand the variety of services and infrastructure, and also serves as confirmation of the level of safety for tourists,” Alexandra Kudelya, head of the Roskachestvo-Tourism certification body, was quoted as saying in the message.

  • In Russia, the order of the Ministry of Economic Development “On approval of the Rules for the classification of ski slopes and classification of beaches” will come into force on September 1, 2024. According to the document, there are three categories of objects: category 1 – blue flag, category 2 – green flag, category 3 – yellow flag.
  • When carrying out classification work, specialists check the conformity of the facility according to 26 indicators. These include: the presence of rescue stations, medical posts with staff, changing rooms, garbage containers, toilets, showers, feeding stations, drinking fountains, fenced bathing areas.
