On Wednesday, July 24, clients of VTB, Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, T-Bank and Gazprombank reported several problems in the operation of banking applications.
Problems are reported from Moscow and the region, from St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Territory, Nizhny Novgorod Region and other regions.
“Business Online is not working,” writes one user. “Payment is not being made,” reports another Sber customer.
Rosbank and Pochta Bank customers report similar problems. Since morning, users have been complaining that the VTB app is not working.
According to VTB’s press service, the reason for the failures experienced by some customers was caused by a DDOS attack planned abroad.
“The banking sector was the target of a DDOS attack planned from abroad,” VTB reported.
Alfa-Bank, for its part, stated that there were no malfunctions in the application. They clarified that the problems with logging in were related to technical work and suggested trying to log in to the application later.
Users continue to report difficulties: some cannot launch the application, others cannot make transfers, others complain that Alpha Business Online does not work.
According to the press service of Sberbank, no breakdowns were reported.
