Verbatica, a startup for learning Arabic and English using artificial intelligence (AI), launched by a team led by Nikita Savilov and Nikolai Morozov, has raised $700,000 in a pre-seed round in the United Arab Emirates, a company representative said.

Verbatica is an educational platform with artificial intelligence capabilities; the project was launched by a team led by MGIMO graduates Nikita Savilov and Nikolai Morozov.
“The methodology was created by experienced teachers. We use our own language model, which we train based on this data. The user can study independently or with teachers and has the opportunity to switch to a lesson or constantly,” said Nikita Savilov.
The new words that the user has learned are integrated into a stand-alone dictionary with cards for interactive learning. The system for evaluating progress in the service is presented in the category “Language Intelligence” (LQ). This measure evaluates language proficiency in five main areas: reading texts, listening to speech, writing and speaking, and cultural context.
The service helps not only to master the language, but also to immerse oneself in the cultural characteristics of the language environment. The platform recommends books, films and helps to study the traditions and stories of native speakers of the language being studied.
