Telegram has disabled monetization for Russian channel owners. Now the “Monetization” tab has disappeared from the channel’s “Statistics” section.

Just five days ago, the messenger gave the owners of Russian channels the opportunity to receive 50% of advertising revenues. It was reported that buying advertising and receiving rewards is possible no earlier than 21 days after the funds are credited to the balance.

Let’s remember that at the end of March, Telegram launched monetization, thanks to which channel owners with more than 1 thousand viewers began to receive half of the income from advertising. However, the company initially stated that this program would not work in Russia, Ukraine, Palestine, Israel and some other countries.
