According to the results of the first half of 2024, game developers received 1.6 billion rubles from Odnoklassniki, which is 10% more than in the same period in 2023. This amount includes revenue from advertising and in-game purchases, a representative of the social network told RB.RU.

At the same time, the main driver of growth was the development of advertising within the gaming platform. OK and developers’ own advertising revenues increased by 62% year-on-year between January and June.
The key reason for the growth in advertising revenue is the development of the sticky banner format (in-game advertising, the location of which can be customized by the creator) on all platforms. To integrate the format into the game, developers need to implement the selection and display of advertising using the SDK, select a place to display the banner; the rest of the tasks are solved by the game platform.
In addition, OK’s internal texts showed that in-game advertising does not reduce revenue from in-game purchases. It should be noted that because of this, developers shifted their focus to monetization programs and began to use them more often.
