Users of the service will be able to immediately see videos in which these compositions are used. The publication emphasizes that the more popular a track is, the greater the chances that a new instrument will be able to recognize it.
TechCrunch writes that many people already use TikTok instead of a search engine, and the Sound Search feature further expands the social network’s search capabilities.
In 2023, YouTube began testing a similar feature: the service would be able to “recognize” a song not only by its melody, but also by playing it from other devices, just as the Shazam app does.
