The main advantage of Game Pass Ultimate is that new products from Microsoft’s internal studios appear in the catalogue on the same day they are released. Such situations are rare with PS Plus Premium.
Stray, for example, was one of the few exceptions, but PS Plus Premium offers a large catalogue of popular games, including Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, various Assassin’s Creed games, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bloodborne.
In July 2024, Microsoft announced an increase in the price of Xbox Game Pass, citing the inclusion of Call of Duty games in the subscription.
The first of these, Modern Warfare III, will be released on July 24, and in October the catalog will also include Black Ops 6, which will be the first part of the series to be offered directly to subscription.
