MTS reports that it has implemented a function to search for leaks of financial data from credit institutions, online stores and other sources in the “Zashchitnik” service. Users will be given recommendations on actions to preserve data.
According to MTS, over the course of six months, personal information would have been stolen from 83 million users, and from almost 20 million – twice: passwords, passport data, etc.
After data leaks, fraudsters actively try to use confidential information about service users. We observe that after such cases, the number of spam calls to MTS subscribers increases by 25%.

The solution from MTS will notify about data leakage from services used by subscribers: it will show the history, indicate the source, the nature of the data and tell you what to do to protect yourself.
