Apple continues to develop a home robotic device, Bloomberg reports.

It will feature a large iPad-like screen mounted on a “thin robotic arm” that will be able to tilt, raise, lower and rotate the display 360 degrees.

The device itself will serve as a “smart home command center” and for home security. It will also be possible to communicate via FaceTime and, thanks to the robotic arm, monitor a person.

The device will support Siri and Apple Intelligence, so you will be able to respond to voice requests, recognize various commands and automatically turn the screen towards the user during a conversation.

Apple has prioritized the development of the gadget. The project is under the responsibility of Lin Kewinch, Apple’s vice president of technology, who led the development of the Apple Watch and shut down Apple’s self-driving car project.

The company plans to release the device in 2026 or 2027. It will cost about $1,000. Apple is aiming to keep the price at that level, but it could change as development progresses.
