The founder of the Zenden chain of men’s and women’s shoe stores, Andrei Pavlov (foreign agent), said that his lawyers will study the circumstances of his inclusion in the list of foreign agents of the Russian Ministry of Justice. Forbes writes about this. Pavlov believes that this may be due to his criticism of the actions of the Federal Tax Service, claiming that the service is allegedly “robbing the company.”

Pavlov believes that adding him to the list of foreign agents will not affect the operation of the stores in any way.
“I have not been involved in the company’s operational activities for a long time, I do not receive money from abroad,” Pavlov told the publication. The businessman added that he has a patriotic attitude, is developing domestic production and wants to open a shoe factory in Crimea.
Pavlov was added to the list of foreign agents on August 16.
Zenden’s legal entity, Dom Clothes LLC, reported revenue of 14.7 billion rubles and net profit of 572 million rubles in 2023. Andrey Pavlov owns 96% of the company, another 3% belongs to Alexander Sarychev and 1% to Pavel Chaltsev.
Earlier, banker Oleg Tinkov, who left Russia and sold his business, Tinkoff Bank, was recognized as a foreign agent.
