The Mail.ru Agent service has been out of service since August 20, and it is proposed to be replaced by VK Messenger and VK WorkSpace, according to a message posted on the official website.

“Please continue to communicate with friends in VK Messenger and with colleagues in VK WorkSpace. The Mail.ru Agent service has stopped working,” the post reads.
RIA Novosti, citing VK’s press service, clarifies that the company decided to focus on the development of VK Messenger and the VK WorkSpace business platform.
Recall that the “agent” was launched in 2003 by Mail.ru. With the service, it was possible to make audio and video calls, send SMS, and also receive notifications about new letters arriving on Mail.ru servers.
RB.RU reported in late June that the ICQ messenger had officially closed, according to its website. Previously, it was one of the most popular means of communication in Russia.
