MTS Travel digital guides now automatically adapt to users’ interests thanks to personalization algorithms based on Big Data and AI technologies.
This feature is already available in guides Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad regions and TatarstanSince the feature’s launch, the average time spent viewing content has increased from three to five minutes.
Personalized content is available only to authorized MTS subscribers. Users view segments formed on the basis of big data and artificial intelligence, monitoring income and the presence of children, which affects the receipt of recommendations for attractions and places of rest. In the future, it is planned to add personalization and showcases with hotels.

Thanks to content personalization, users can spend their time at the training more effectively. For example, parents who come to Samara for the holidays with a child will not have to search for a local zoo or children’s museums for a long time – they will learn about them from our guide as soon as they are found in the Samara region.
The appearance of this function is important for us, as it provides the MTS Travel service – to be a convenient, technological assistant in planning trips. The first results of the guides’ work with personalization showed that it is in great demand among tourists. The average time of viewing content has increased from three to five minutes. The share of authorizations has also increased. Now up to 40% of users pass it to receive personalized recommendations.

Since 2023, MTS Travel has launched about 100 online guides to regions and tourist locations within Russia. Their creator is the delivery technology – a link to digital guides is delivered to MTS subscribers by SMS when they enter a certain geozone. In the first seven months of 2024, subscribers were delivered almost 50 million SMS with links to online guides.
