Planned delay

Rumors that One UI 7 would be delayed have been floating around since June. Despite this, the interface has been in internal testing on Samsung devices for several months now, reinforcing that the process is at least ongoing.

So far, only the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable devices have received the official One UI 6.1.1 update, but new devices should be certified over time.

Speculation about the reason for the change in calendar includes the technical difficulty of porting certain features to some devices, especially those that use artificial intelligence (AI) such as Circule para Pesquisar.

According to previous speculations, One UI 7 could feature iOS-inspired changes, including an alternative to the iPhones’ Dynamic Island feature. Additionally, it should include a number of new animations, icons, and dynamics during navigation.
