Apple to allow removal of native iOS apps in the European Union

Apple has confirmed that more changes will come to iOS and iPadOS in the European Union (EU) this Thursday (22). The company will make a series of changes to the platforms in order to comply with local legislation and avoid being fined or even banned in the region.

The most notable change involves many pre-installed apps on tablets and smartphones developed by Apple itself. Starting in late 2024, The user will have the option to remove some of these from devices in the EUto free up memory or replace them with other downloaded services.
