Ozon has completed testing online viewing of video from cameras at collection points (POPs). Marketplace wants to move the entire network of collection points to such works. For failure to provide access or providing false data, a fine of 10 thousand rubles is imposed. The site announced this in a newsletter for partners.

Starting from October 1, 2024, points with the “Maximum Brand” tariff will be required to connect to cloud providers: select the appropriate service, install two cameras and share access. The company selected nine services for this purpose: Ipeye, LinkVideo, Rostelecom, Megafon, Beeline, etc.
If partners refuse to share or provide false information, they will face a fine of 10 thousand rubles. The company has promised to write separately about including this provision in the contract.
It is not necessary to connect the “domestic” points, but Ozon recommends doing so. For DPPV, only one camera is needed, its installation and connection to the supplier will help the owner save time on work, the bulletin notes.
In the chats where the owners of the Ozon distribution points communicate, they put forward a counterproposal: “let the market pay for partners to switch to cloud video surveillance.” According to their estimates, connecting and installing one camera will cost about 4.5 thousand rubles, but two are needed.
The community has also created a petition against the company’s innovations. Partners want to decide for themselves how to organise video surveillance.
“For Ozon, the most important thing is the safety of goods and the convenience of work for all participants in the system: partners, sellers, and delivery people. By connecting cloud video surveillance at city pick-up points until October 1, the time previously spent on watching and editing videos of controversial situations will be freed up for the owners of pick-up points and their employees,” the market’s press service said. They also reminded that video surveillance at checkpoints was already mandatory. Before the current peak season, we are talking about switching to cloud storage. And the costs of using and installing new cameras are comparable to the video surveillance solution that the market and partners used previously, the company noted.
Wildberries now has access to CCTV cameras at its collection points.
