Unither Bioletronics, a Canadian leader in aerial organ delivery, will partner with Robinson Helicopter Company, a well-known manufacturer of helicopters. The new fleet of helicopters will be based on Robinson’s R44 and R66 models, equipped with hydrogen fuel cells to power their electric propulsion systems.

Martina Rothblatt, CEO of Unither’s parent company United Therapeutics, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Just as protons from hydrogen atoms power the mitochondrial power plants in every cell in our body, we look forward to using protons from green hydrogen to power the membrane. We are building on the fuel cells used in our Robinson R66 electric helicopters for organ donation.”
