Users of the social network will be able to superimpose one photo on another and change the shape of the image, for example, from a rectangle to a circle, a star or a heart.

Stories and Reels have also received some improvements. With new fonts, animations, and effects, creators will be able to create content that stands out visually.

These aren’t the first Instagram updates* in 2024, with the most recent ones including the “Blur” feature in Stories, the ability to create your own AI avatars, audio tracks in Reels, and an analogue of Snap Maps.
