VK Video has introduced a new feature that allows creators to add short videos to long videos. Now in edit mode, the “Link Clip” button appears on the upload screen. It allows you to select and add up to three short videos. This function is also available for previously published materials via the “Edit” button, but you can only combine your own videos.
Once the clip is added to a horizontal video, a button will appear in the description of the short video to go to the full version. Viewers will be able to click on it to watch the long video. If necessary, the clip can be easily unlinked in edit mode, and if a long video is deleted, the link to the clip in the short video will automatically disappear.
This innovation opens up new opportunities for authors to promote content, improves interaction with viewers and expands reach. This functionality is already available in the web version and in the VK app on Android and iOS. It is planned to be added to the VK Video mobile app in the future.
