Flipper Zero, a cybersecurity tool that has become popular among cybercriminals, received its first major update this Tuesday (10). Firmware 1.0 makes room for the installation of third-party applications, introduces a new NFC subsystem and, finally, adds support for applications developed with JavaScript.
The tool originated as a cybersecurity tool that performs vulnerability testing on electronic equipment, but the device has been used by hackers and criminals to access and steal devices via radio frequency.
THE The update has been in development for three years.and now it is finally stable enough for public distribution. Many of the features introduced in the build were known by the user community but were not ready until now.

The Flipper Zero team highlights the news:

In addition to functional improvements, Flipper Zero Firmware 1.0 Extends battery life up to 1 month in standby mode and accelerates data transfer via Bluetooth with Android devices.
Downloading is done manually

To install the update, the user needs to access the official Flipper website, download the build and transfer it via Bluetooth from a mobile device or computer using USB.
They told the website that since the release of Firmware 1.0, Flipper Zero developers will be directing their efforts towards creating a new device. BleepingComputerHowever, the team notes that they will continue to expand the capabilities of the current Flipper Zero and fix bugs.
