Yandex shareholders have approved the recommendation of the board of directors and approved the first dividend in the company’s history, the amount of which will be 80 rubles per share, according to a message posted on the website of the Center for Corporate Information Disclosure.

Dividends will be paid based on the results of Yandex’s work in the first half of 2024. At the current price of Yandex shares, the dividend yield will be 2%. The last day to buy securities to receive payments will be September 19.
Yandex shares on the Moscow Stock Exchange reacted to the news of the first dividends with growth: at 18:15 Moscow time, the quotes increased by 0.94%.
Yandex management has recommended that the board of directors consider the issue of dividend payments on July 30, 2024. The board of directors supported the recommendation in August. Previously, Yandex never paid dividends; now the company plans to do so every six months.
