Prosecutors have been advised to resume investigations into Telegram, which had previously been suspended due to the messenger’s lack of responses. We are talking, among other things, about crimes against children. The messenger changed his position after the arrest of Pavel Durov, the French journalists add.

The publication clarifies that the messaging platform did indeed respond to requests sent by the Office for Minors (Ofmin) of the National Police and Gendarmerie in several criminal investigations and provided important information.

“We have seen Telegram become more willing to cooperate with the justice system for some time now,” the federal prosecutor’s office said.

Telegram founder Pavel Durov is also cooperating with French judicial authorities and fully complying with the conditions of control that were set after charges were brought against him.
