Huawei P70: up to four models with 50 MP triple camera
Currently, reports indicate that the Huawei P70 will have four models: one with a 6.58-inch screen and three with a 6.76-inch panel.
The first of them, at the entry level, will be the Huawei P70, which will integrate a 6.58-inch OLED screen with a 50-megapixel main camera. It will not be just a lens, but an Omnivision OV50H with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. For reference, the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s sensor size is 1/1.28-inch. In theory, this feature should lead to improved photographic results.
The second model will be the Huawei P70 Pro, which will feature the same lens, but with a slightly larger battery and faster charging. Specifically, we are talking about a 5200 mAh battery with 88 W fast charging and 80 W wireless charging. In this model we will see a 6.76-inch OLED screen.
The third model will be the Huawei P70 Pro+, which will also have a 6.76-inch OLED screen, a 5100 mAh battery, 88 W fast charging and 80 W wireless charging. The main improvement in this model will be the integration of a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 lens.
Currently, there are rumors that the Huawei P70 Art will have very similar specifications to the Huawei P70. However, since this is a high-end model, we expect further improvements.
In all models, the main photo module will be complemented by a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. In this sense, it is clear that Huawei’s goal is to keep the P70 series as the ideal option for photography enthusiasts.
In terms of design, Huawei P70 Pro+ and Huawei P70 Art will have a special design to accommodate the Sony IMX989 sensor. Specifically, we are talking about a triangular module that will house the main sensor in the center and highlight its size at 1 inch.
As for the processor that will be integrated into the models, the Huawei P70 and P70 Pro are expected to use the Kirin 9000S chipset, which we have already seen in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+, while the Huawei P70 Pro+ and P70 Art will use a more advanced chipset.
Huawei P70: price and release date
We may learn more about the Huawei P70 on April 11 during an event where Huawei is expected to make announcements about computers and automotive products.
However, another of the most popular possibilities is that Huawei prefers to deliver models directly to stores without any presentation, as has already happened with the Huawei Mate 60 Pro.
Models will range in price from $700 for the most affordable model to $1,400 for the highest-end model.
