Yandex has expanded the capabilities of a smart home and launched a tool to integrate weather data into its system. Users will be able to create personal scenarios to create comfortable conditions, according to a press release from the company.

Scenarios in the free API (an interface that describes how programs interact) involve, for example, turning on a heated floor when the air temperature outside the window is low or bright light in cloudy weather. In a smart home with the Alice voice assistant, these capabilities will appear in the near future, Yandex noted.

The API includes weather data for the next two days, including air temperature, wind speed and precipitation. Users will be able to connect notifications about weather changes and display the weather forecast on the screen of smart watches or other devices.
The API is compatible with all systems that support third-party APIs. To connect the interface, you need to register a personal Yandex Weather account for your smart home and receive a key.
