Zuckerberg has spoken of his changing public persona, which now includes a passion for raising cattle in Hawaii and commissioning Roman-style statues of his wife. His casual attire and new image reflect a break from his previous, more reserved public persona, according to media reports.
During the speech, Zuckerberg took a swipe at Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who had previously responded to a comment on a podcast that was misinterpreted. Shortly after taking the stage, Zuckerberg joked that he might have to reschedule his next show in order to apologize for what he had to say. TechCrunch reportedly added that he was just joking and that his days of apologizing were long over.
Zuckerberg spoke of what he saw as the biggest mistake of his career, a two-decade-long “political miscalculation.” He admitted that he had taken too much responsibility for the problems facing Facebook*, blaming political agendas rather than admitting real mistakes. “I don’t think we’re actually responsible for some of the things that they claim we’ve done or that we’re responsible for,” he said.
