That’s $20 more than the same service for the iPhone 15 Pro, which costs $99. Battery replacements for the base model iPhone 16 will remain the same, while replacements will remain free for AppleCare+ users.
Perhaps the increase in cost is due to the new metal shell designed to improve heat dissipation of the batteries in the iPhone 16 Pro. Rumor has it that such a battery will only be used in the Pro models.
Interestingly, iPhone battery replacement prices have nearly doubled in the last few years, which could be Apple’s attempt to make AppleCare+ more attractive to users.
