X5 Group, together with its partners, has launched a digital platform with information on available shifts in stores and distribution centres. The company’s employees can work part-time, choosing the conditions and hours that suit them, according to the company’s press service.

The new solution will give X5 Group the opportunity to successfully overcome the peak season, and employees will be able to easily find part-time work close to home. Currently, more than 22 thousand stores and 40 distribution centers (DCs) of Pyaterochka operate with the service in all cities where it is present.
The scheme is as follows: the management of stores and distribution centres, which is responsible for staff, publishes information about free shifts, and the employee can choose to work part-time in his spare time from his main job. Over the past month, more than 14 thousand people have registered in the system; they have already worked a total of almost 127 thousand hours.
“In October, the Perekrestok retail network will be connected to the system, where it will also be possible to book free shifts, in the second stage of the project. — “Chizhik” retail network and X5 Delivery courier service. This will significantly expand the offer of part-time jobs for employees,” the company added.
Pyaterochka will begin offering existing franchised stores to entrepreneurs in June 2024, a representative of the retail chain told RB.RU. Previously, franchisees in partnership with a retailer could only open a retail outlet from scratch.
